Born in Grasse and the son of a perfumer, Jean-Claude Ellena was introduced to the mysteries of perfumery at a very young age. At 16, he began his career at Chiris, then continued his studies at Givaudan in Geneva. He composed his first creations for renowned houses (Van Cleef and Arpels, Bulgari, Cartier, Hermès, etc.), which quickly became successful.
